Our Mission
We see widows and orphans as being emblematic of those who are capable of a bright future, but
difficulty stands in the way. Our hope is to be used by God to help alleviate what difficulties we
can in order to watch that individual live a full life. We also recognize that it is exactly these
kinds of experiences that God uses to speak into the lives of everyone involved. It is our mission
to provide donation-based services for the purpose of ministering to each person we serve and
sharing the gospel message with any who have yet to accept Christ as their savior. We also feel
blessed to have the opportunity to build and work on homes in Guatemala for women to live in
so that they can have a safe environment to build better lives. Again, we believe we are
ministering to all but also seizing every opportunity to share the gospel with non-believers.
Who We Are
One Son Ministries was born out of the combined experiences of both Dave and Ruth Hammond.
Together through many years of ministry, contracting and raising two children God has been
preparing them to serve in this unique way. Real people who love God and struggle with the
same things you do, with a heart for those that society has cast aside and trying their best to lead
by example as they follow the Lord. “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I
send? And who will go for Us?” And I said “Here am I. Send me!” (Isaiah 6:8)
